Established in 1968 by multinational conglomerate Booker
McConnell, The Booker McConnell Prize recognizes the
best contemporary fiction novel published in the United
Kingdom each year. Since its inception, The Booker Prize
(www.bookerprize.co.uk),
as it is more commonly known, has gained a reputation
as one of the leading literary landmarks in both the
UK and the United States.
